ABOUT WINGFIELD FINANCIAL
Built by an operator.
Run by the same one.
John Clark did not start an investment firm and then look for assets to put capital into. He built the platform first.
THE FIRM
Why the structure matters.
Most private equity funds put capital into assets run by someone else. When something breaks, the fund manager makes a call.
John Clark does not make that call. He owns the mortgage company financing the acquisitions, the restoration company improving the properties, and the title company that closes them.
Thirty-two years of building that infrastructure is what Fund II investors are getting access to. Not a model. Not a projection. The actual platform, already running.
Wingfield Financial was founded in May 2022 and is headquartered in the Washington DC/Baltimore area.

STRATEGY, VISION & PURPOSE
Why Wingfield Financial exists.
"Most funds make a call when something breaks. We don't. We built the platform so we never have to."
JOHN R. CLARK, JR. – PRINCIPAL PARTNER, WINGFIELD FINANCIAL
Wingfield Financial was founded on a simple observation: the best returns in private equity come from operators who are still in the building – not fund managers who hand capital to someone else and wait. John Clark built a mortgage company, a construction company, a title company, and a capital sourcing operation before he raised a dollar from outside investors.
The purpose of Wingfield Financial is to give accredited investors access to that operator-led infrastructure – not as a promise of what will be built, but as participation in what is already running.
Our Strategy
When Wingfield Financial acquires a position, the fund owns the financing, the property work, and eventually the closing process. Decisions move faster. Costs are lower. There are fewer handoffs, fewer delays, and fewer variables outside the GP's control. That is what operator-led means in practice.
Our Vision
To build the most trusted operator-led private equity platform in the DC/Mid-Atlantic region – where investors know exactly what they are investing in, who is running it, and how every dollar is being deployed.
Our Purpose
To give accredited investors access to an operating platform that generates returns through execution, not speculation. Every company in the Wingfield ecosystem exists to serve this goal.
LEADERSHIP

Every person on the Wingfield Financial team has direct experience in the industries the fund invests in.
